I like playing the islands of the world game.

I first start with either Google Maps or Google Earth and then use the street view person to drop onto pictures of far off islands and I don't know anything about. Then I sometimes will check out the island on http://www.panoramio.com and then move onto finding as much information about the island as possible.

Usually use http://wikitravel.org/en/Main_Page http://www.wikipedia.org/ http://www.youtube.com/ and a ton of travel blogs

(It also does not have to be islands, just start dropping the Google Maps Guy anywhere on the map and just start wondering!)

TLDR: I look and read about travel porn all day long at work...
